Each week I’m shocked, humbled, and grateful for the opportunity to write about interesting topics ranging from ag history lessons to current agri-business news headlines, tips, & advice.

Frankly, I didn’t know what this newsletter would become when I started writing 5 months ago.

Well, some 64 editions and 7,000 subscribers later, it’s clear that The Gravel Road needs to be defined.

And, that presents an opportunity to announce my new project…

But first, let’s define The Gravel Road.

The Gravel Road has always been and will remain a free email newsletter. 

The shift is this: The Gravel Road will exclusively be posts exploring topics that impacted agriculture throughout history.

It’s a quick read, designed to educate folks from all walks of life on how today’s ag industry has been molded. I am so very thankful to all current subscribers and the feedback you’ve provided.

Honestly, this venture may very well flop and fall flat on its face.

There most likely will be folks who think this idea won’t work, and even some rooting for it to fail.

And that’s OK.

After all, I’m just a farm kid from South Dakota with less technology skills than the average 12 year old.

But I do know from my work as an agri-business advisor that there are farmers and ranchers all over the globe who want to learn and grow their operations to be profitable, sustainable, and leave a lasting legacy.

So the Agri-Business Braintrust was created to offer access to these features:
