Agricultural Storytelling

The Gravel Road is expanding. While you can still expect the newsletters you’ve come to love on a monthly basis starting in April, The Gravel Road is now issuing an agricultural storytelling magazine.

Advice, insight, and personal stories from agriculturalists all over the country will appear alongside the best of agriculturally-focused fiction, non-fiction, and poetry from some of the foremost writers in the field.

Each issue will focus on a different theme. The 2024/2025 schedule is as follows:

Spring/Summer 2024: Transitions

Fall/Winter 2024: Traditions

Spring/Summer 2025: Innovators

Fall/Winter 2025: Storytellers

Q1: What changes have you experienced in agriculture?
Q2: What advice do you have for others experiencing change?

As a subscriber to The Gravel Road, you have the opportunity to appear in each issue and be a part of the ongoing discussion in the newsletter.

The linked questions are short Q&As you can answer on the go. Some responses will be shared only in the newsletter, and some will be featured in The Gravel Road.

Exclusive Insights

Next newsletter, we’ll explore new features like the agriculturalist’s bookshelf, take a sneak peek at Brant Short’s reflection on the lessons he learned hauling hay in 1971, and make the case for journaling in agriculture.
